Insurance Payment Information

While we participate with most local and many national insurance plans, it is your responsibility as a patient to understand your insurance benefits. Benefits can range from which doctor you can see to the services you can receive. Specific benefit information can usually be identified by calling your insurance company at the member services number on the back of your health insurance card or by visiting their website.

Our business office staff will submit your health insurance claim to primary, secondary, and tertiary insurances for you. If there is a remaining balance after we have received payment by your insurance company, you may be responsible for paying the remaining balance when allowed by law. To avoid any surprise bills, be sure to call your health insurance company before your appointment to make sure your visit will be covered.

Self-Pay Information

Although we participate with many different insurance carriers and networks, sometimes you are not eligible for insurance through your employer or are between jobs and do not have any insurance but still need to be seen. This is why we offer self-pay services at our clinic.

At the time of your appointment we require that pay $100 towards your total visits charges. After your visit our business office staff will send you a bill for the remaining amount. The remaining amount is owed to Grand River Medical Group for the services provided.

Payment Plan Options

At Grand River Medical Group we accept payment for services through cash, personal check, cashier’s check, and money orders, as well as, VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express credit cards.

We also offer the ability to set up a payment plan with one of our Revenue Cycle specialists. You can do this by calling (563) 589-4030 and asking to speak to someone about arranging a Payment Plan.
